Sciatica can be defined as inflammation of the sciatic nerve. It is the latter that allows mobility as well as the sensitivity of the lower part of the human body. Sciatica: Causes and Diagnosis

The most common cause of sciatica turns out to be a herniated disc. This is actually a disease of the intervertebral disc causing pain all along the leg. It is called sciatica. It can also be caused by excessive, unusual or false movements. Carrying an enormous load also triggers the same effect. To treat sciatica, a diagnosis must first be made. Your doctor can easily see this by referring to the description and symptoms you refer to. You may be prescribed an X-ray or CT scan.

Anti-inflammatory or infiltration

A program of physiotherapy sessions can improve sciatica. That said, consult a physiotherapist or an osteopath. 3 to 6 sessions can already give effective results. You should stop in the 3rd or 4th practice if you do not feel any effect. The physiotherapist will carry out some manipulations on the disc in order to release the tensions. There are also muscle strengthening exercises to complete a whole session. Stretching exercises seem to be an effective treatment for sciatic pain. They can be painful, especially at first, but are safe. The idea of the exercise is to perform movements in order to regain the mobility of the lower part. To do this, make movements in the opposite direction to the painful position.
